The National Cycling Velodrome was opened in 2016, with an event that attracted many local and international cyclists. The state-of-the-art facility boasts a 250m wooden track (Schuermann designed and built) and permanent seating for 2,500 spectators.
It is a full-service velodrome with warm-up rooms and multipurpose rooms for event organisers. In 2022, it became the first UCI Satellite Center in the western hemisphere.
The Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games will host the Track Cycle events in the facility between 8-10 August.
